Redesigned and rebuilt the MacElree Harvey website to modernize its structure and integrate custom post systems — connecting attorneys, offices, and practice areas through a dynamic, scalable WordPress architecture.
MacElree Harvey, a regional law firm with offices across Pennsylvania and Delaware, needed a complete redesign and rebuild of their primary website — along with a flexible microsite template system for individual attorneys. Their legacy websites were built on outdated frameworks that were difficult to maintain, incompatible with modern WordPress, and non-compliant with current accessibility standards.
This was one of my most technically complex projects to date. The goal was to create a unified, scalable WordPress architecture that could seamlessly connect attorneys, practice areas, and office locations — ensuring that every page automatically linked to related content.
I developed a network of custom post types, fields, and taxonomies that power this interconnected structure. Each attorney profile dynamically lists their practice areas and office locations, while each practice area and office page automatically displays the corresponding attorneys. The build also required specialized templates for attorney bios, practice areas, and offices, each with custom layouts and metadata configurations.
In addition to the main firm website, I designed and built a microsite system that allows individual attorneys and practice groups to maintain their own dedicated websites within the same design and technical framework — ensuring brand consistency, accessibility compliance, and streamlined management across all sites.
The result is a cohesive, modern web system that combines visual refinement with deep functionality — built to perform, scale, and evolve as the firm grows.
