Redesigned and rebuilt the Transition Town Greater Media website to reflect the organization’s regional growth — introducing a refined colorway, new Initiative templates, and a modern block-based WordPress system.
Transition Town Greater Media (TTGM) is a grassroots sustainability organization based in Media, Pennsylvania. This latest redesign marked the fourth major rebuild I’ve completed for TTGM since 2012 — each one evolving alongside the organization’s growth and changing mission.
As TTGM expanded its reach from the Borough of Media to surrounding communities, the goal for this version was to reflect that broader scope with a fresh, modern design and a refined brand system. I introduced a new colorway and typography palette that preserved TTGM’s familiar warmth while giving the site a cleaner, more contemporary feel.
The build also focused on functionality: I developed custom templates for the organization’s Initiatives, giving each project space to highlight its unique goals and progress while maintaining visual consistency across the site. The entire system was rebuilt on a block-based WordPress framework, allowing staff and volunteers to easily create and manage pages without relying on custom code.
The result is a lively, community-driven website that captures TTGM’s growing regional identity and makes it easier for visitors to engage, learn, and get involved.
Highlights:
- Fourth redesign/rebuild since 2012, reflecting long-term collaboration
- Updated layout, typography, and color system to support “Greater Media” identity
- Custom Initiative templates for individual project pages
- Migration to block-based WordPress framework for flexible editing
- Improved navigation and accessibility for a wider community audience
